Theme: "Compassionate-Themed Research towards Competent Nursing Care"

On 20 August 2014, the 10th CNAHS Faculty Research Forum was held in the Founder’s Hall, St. Paul University Manila. The forum was entitled “Compassion- Themed Research towards Competent Nursing Care.”

Four sets of presenters were invited from the different fields of nursing. Listed below were the researchers who presented their research papers:

1. Ms. Gracy Morada Cu: The Educational Environment of Selected Nursing Schools in NCR as Perceived by Senior Student Nurses

2. Ms. Emma Daylag: Analysis of the Incidence of Biliary Atresia in Two Children’s Hospitals in Metro Manila: A Basis for the Development of Screening Test for Biliary Atresia

3. Mr. Renante Dante Tan, Ms. Esther dela Cruz and Ms. Joy Filoteo: A Mixed Method Study of the Perception of Nursing Students of Research Colloquium and Their Experience

4. Ms. Charmia Grace Quipit: Beyond Borderline and Fine Prints: A Qualitative Content Analysis on Roles and Role Perception of School Nurses in the Philippine Health System

The research forum was conducted from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. while the viewing of posters started around 2:30 P.M. Mr. Angelo Bunagan, RN, MAN hosted the forum and Mrs. Aiza Violet Alfaro gave the opening remarks. Graduate school students and BS Nursing students from St. Paul University Manila and other schools were invited to the event. After all the presentations, an open forum was conducted to answer some queries and share some insights and suggestions.
