SPC SISTERS CELEBRATE DIAMOND AND GOLDEN JUBILEES

Twenty-five SPC Sisters celebrated their diamond (60 years) and golden (50 years) jubilees on 8 July 2017 in the Our Lady of Chartres Convent in Antipolo.
His Eminence Orlando B. Cardinal Quevedo, OMI, D.D., Archbishop of Cotabato, was the Main Celebrant and Homilist of the concelebrated Mass held in the OLCC Chapel.
The following are the diamond and golden jubilarians:
Sr. Marie Antoine Villanueva Sr. Clotilde de Jesus Gumban
Sr. Cirila of the S.H. Cruz Sr. St. Luke Lipio
Sr. Asuncion de Marie Sosa Sr. Aurelia de Jesus Jamili
Sr. Marie Celine Santos Sr. Mary Priscilla Manalang
Sr. Carolina of the S.H. Agravante Sr. Luisa Maria Chavez
However, only three of the Diamond Jubilarians were able to attend the celebration: Sr. Marie Celine Santos, Sr. Carolina of the Sacred Heart Agravante, and Sr. Luisa Marie Chavez. The others will have a celebration in the Vigil House on 15 July 2017.
Of the Diamond Jubilarians, a number had been in St. Paul Manila, including Sr. Marie Antoine (Dean of Nursing), Sr. Cirila (Local Superior), Sr. Celine (alumna), Sr. Asuncion (alumna and Library Head), Sr. Carolina (alumna and Dean of Nursing), and Sr. Luisa Chavez (Guidance Head and Grade School teacher).

Of the Golden Jubilarians, the following had been in St. Paul Manila: Sr. Senena (HE Dean), Sr. Alegria (present VP for Administrative Services), Sr. Cecilia (nursing alumna), Sr. Lilia (alumna and SPU Manila President), Sr. Veronica (alumna and IMC Head).
The Eucharistic Celebration was rendered joyful by the beautiful singing of the Sisters’ Choir, conducted by Sr. Maria Anunciata Sta. Ana, Dean of the College of Music and the Performing Arts. Cardinal Quevedo was so impressed by their singing that he suggested that the Sisters make an SPC Sisters Song Book.
Sr. Lilia Thérèse L. Tolentino, Provincial Superior, welcomed the guests on behalf of the jubilarians. Sr. Carolina Agravante, President of St. Paul College of Vigan, gave the address of thanks.
