BME Students Win Entrepreneur Competitions

Two BME student projects win in NCR BPI Sinag U Business Plan Competition
Bubbly Clean and Brew Pen, two student projects from the Business Management and Entrepreneurship Programs, were declared NCR Regional Winners and Top 20 National Finalists in the BPI Sinag U Business Plan Competition. Prior to their inclusion in the Top 20, Bubbly Clean and Sukang Kardaba proponents were declared 3rd Place and 4th Place respectively in the Business Pitch Category during the NCR Regional Boot Camp.
The top 20 national finalists will need to attend the five-day boot camp, where they will be mentored by successful industry practitioners. The finalists will be housed in Eton Mini Suites, De la Rosa St., Makati City. Accommodation and meals for the five-day Boot Camp will be provided. The five-day, live-in boot camp will enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and tools that will help them transform their social enterprise into a full-blown business endeavor. The boot camp culmination will be the announcement of the national winners. The top five National Champion will be given a seed money of Php 100,000.00 each to help them jump-start their business.
The Bank of the Philippine Island (BPI)-Sinag U is a nationwide business plan competition designed to encourage students to further fuel entrepreneurial spirit among our youth and promote the development of social enterprise or business with social mission at its core.
BME student project is a Finalist in Noel Bazaar’s Young Entrepreneur Program
Sukang Kardaba, a student project of Ms. Chelsea Haro, 4th year BS Entrepreneurship, Business Management and Entrepreneurship Programs (BME) was selected as one of the Finalists in the Noel Bazaar’s Young Entrepreneur Program. This is the 2nd year in a row that a student project from the BME Program was selected as finalist. Last year, Rosa All-Natural Laundry Detergent also made it to the Finals.
As incentive for being a Noel Bazaar’s Young Entrepreneur Program finalist, Sukang Kardaba will be given free booths in the World Trade Center on 16-19 November 2017 and in the SMX Convention Center on 14-17 December 2017 where the finalists can sell and test market their products to patrons of Noel Bazaar.
Ms. Haro will vie for the title Student Entrepreneur of the Year.
