HRM Students Present Research in STEAM Research Conference

One of the research outputs of the Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) Program students qualified for presentation in the 2018 STEAM International Conference and Collaborative Workshop. The conference was held on 15 March 2018 at JPL Hall of Freedom, Lyceum of the Philippines University. The conference theme was “Cross Cultural Arts Education in Southeast Asia and Pacific, International Concerns in Arts, Culture and Technology in the Region.”
The student researchers were Alexandra Panganiban, Ingrid Ingatan, Kristan Calajate, and Samantha Deiparine. They completed the product development research under the guidance of their adviser, Dr. Amelia Butial. Their research is entitled “Development and Acceptability of Jack Fruit and Single Origin Cacao Flavored Dessert Wine.”
The said research was presented under the intervention of Technology in the Process of Knowledge and Innovation category. The event was also participated in by other schools, like University of Santo Tomas, De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Centro Escolar University, Technological Institute of the Philippines, Philippine Normal University, Emilio Aguinaldo College and Adamson University.
