New Students and Parents Orientation

An orientation program for new students and their parents was held at 7:30 A.M. to 12:00 NN, 31 August 2019 in the 2nd Floor Ballroom of the HRM Training Center.
The event was organized by the Student Services Division, in coordination with the Academic Services. The participants were new students from the college department and their parents. The objective of the event was to acquaint the participants on the vision and mission of the university, as well as its policies, educational objectives, and services rendered to the student.
The activity met the highest expectations of its participants. The orientation included talks on the Spirituality of Parenting, Mental Health Awareness, Drug Orientation, and relevant information on the Data Privacy Act. The support services were presented and some policies on academic, finance, and student discipline were also shared with the participants. The activity garnered an excellent rating of 3.46 from the attendees.
Sr. Evangeline Anastacio, SPC gave her message about the empowering qualities
of the University and the core values being instilled in every Paulinian student. Sr. Alegria Avellaneda, SPC presented the members of the management team. Fr. Norman Peña, SSP discussed the Spirituality of Parenting and the impact of values parents teach their children. Ms. Techie Duran-Dy from the Center for Family Ministries shared her knowledge on mental health, depression, and risk of suicide.
Dr. Bong Guiuan discussed the University’s policy on data privacy. Dr. Marichen Dychangco updated the audience on the academic services and answered queries
of parents on academics. Ms. Elmgay Valeriano discussed support services
given to the students by the Student Services Division. She also talked on salient points regarding student discipline.
Mr. AJ Agojo and Ms. Rosalle Dizon emceed the program.
