On 17 October 2019, the Christian Formation Team conducted an outreach in Grace to be Born, a halfway house established in 2009 to serve as a temporary shelter for unwed mothers and an orphanage for the children who were born there.
Spearheaded by Sr. Jesusa Taccad, SPC, VP for Christian Formation, the said outreach was one of the highlights of the Christian Formation Days, themed “Mission: I’m Possible,” held on 15-17 October 2019. Coinciding with the commemoration of the Year of the Youth, as well as the Extraordinary Missionary Month declared by Pope Francis, the CF Team was joined by student-volunteers from the Advocacy on Social Participation-CDC. They were given the opportunity to interact directly with the clients with the hope that they will acquire lessons from the experiences shared by the latter and also realize the need to take extra precautions so they can protect themselves from any untoward incidents.
The team brought some food and non-food items and ate snacks together with the clients and staff in the center.
