The SPU Manila Library held an Outreach Program on 20 December 2016 with 35 children of Taps Corporation, in coordination with the CDC Office.

The two hour outreach program gave happiness and enjoyment to all the student participants (aged six to eight years old) since it happened in the Christmas season.

The Library personnel prepared a short program that started with an Opening Prayer and Opening Remarks, followed by Film Viewing on the Birth of Jesus and other Bible stories and Santa’s Surprise. After the film viewing the host librarian asked the children a few questions and whoever gave the correct answer received a special prize.

The students in exchange had prepared a special number for us. There were also games for the students and those who came with them. After the program they were happy and excited for their Jollibee value meal lunch with toy. Before the outreach ended, each student received a loot bag containing a set of school supplies and coloring book.

The students said they enjoyed the activity so much. Indeed the activity was very successful and meaningful.
