Grade 12 Senior High School Graduates attended a Baccalaureate Mass, celebrated by His Excellency, the Most Reverend Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia, S.T.D, J.C.L., Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippine in the Fleur-de-lis Theater on March 30, 2019.
After months of preparation, St. Paul University Manila was able to invite the Papal Nuncio to celebrate the Mass with the Paulinian community. The Grade 12 Senior High School students were beyond blessed to have their Baccalaureate Mass celebrated by him.
Paulinians admired how approachable the Nuncio was, and how he maintained the connection with the students all throughout the Eucharistic Celebration. He made the atmosphere of the Mass happy and light.
The Papal Nuncio’s homily was about remembering God throughout one’s life journey and acknowledging the wisdom and strength that come from Him. According to him, no matter what success one gains, he must never forget to keep both feet grounded. He also encouraged the Paulinians to keep in mind the values and life lessons that they have learned in the university.
The Nuncio’s words were truly remarkable and memorable. Enthusiastic applause rippled across around the Fleur-de-lis Theater as his homily combined humor with heart-motivating remarks.
With the help of the Paulinian Liturgical Animators, other priests, and the Sisters, the Baccalaureate Mass was truly significant. Each of the senior high graduates received a prayer book and a postcard as small tokens of appreciation from the Apostolic Nunciature to serve as reminders for the graduates as they face the new chapter of their lives.
