PauliVotes 2025: Empowers Students Through Responsible Voting

SPU Manila held PauliVotes 2025: Empowering Choices, Upholding What’s Right, Voter’s Education, on March 26, 2025, at the Fleur-de-lis Theater. The event aimed at raising awareness and educating students with the knowledge needed for voting responsibly. Hosted by Ms. Rosalle Dizon, Head of Admissions and Internationalization, the event gathered students and representatives from various schools to emphasize the importance of participation in elections.

The program began with an opening prayer led by Ms. Dawn Rentegrado (Grade 11- St. Anthony), followed by the Philippine National Anthem led by the SPU Manila Chorale. Sr. Ma. Evangeline Anastacio, SPC, University President, delivered her opening remarks.

Three guest speakers from different sectors presented their insights on the role and importance of voters in our society. Ms. Patricia D. Fortes, a representative from the Church and a former faculty member of SPUM highlighted the responsibility of voting. She urged individuals to choose candidates with integrity and motivated the Paulinians to take an active role in seeking  positive change when voting. The audience  shared  their reflections and discuss their insights during the break.

The second speaker, Dr. Jonathan V. Geronimo, representing the education sector, showed the factors influencing a voter's behavior. He highlighted the challenges faced by Filipinos, emphasizing the impact of the government in our lives. He also discussed the importance of fact-checking and being cautious of disinformation.

The third speaker, Mr. Paul Fabia, a student representative, focused on voters’ rights. He highlighted the right to free speech, participation in politics, and respecting various views. He encouraged students to work together for the future to be better and to stand for what is right.

After the three speakers' discussions, student reactors from Grade 11, Grade 12, and CNAHS shared their reflections on the speeches. A question-and-answer portion followed, allowing the audience to engage and ask questions of the speakers.


Certificates of participation were awarded to the guest speakers. The host acknowledged the Sisters, administrators, faculty members, students, and SMEC schools for their support. The event ended with the closing remarks and closing prayer led by Ms. Maricella Esmeria.
