SPC SISTERS LAUNCH PAULINIAN PRAYER INITIATIVE

Dear Paulinians,

We, the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres in the Philippines, value truth, justice, integrity, respect for life, and the dignity of every person. This year, our country will undergo a very crucial election. We find ourselves surrounded by campaign materials, with truths, half-truths, and some downright lies, with information, misinformation, and disinformation. We recognize our role in this political exercise by providing a moral compass to our fellow Filipinos in choosing our leaders.

Because of these, we are launching THE PAULINIAN PRAYER INITIATIVE. We ask everyone to pray the Prayer for Wisdom and Discernment in Choosing our Leaders and to look to Jesus Christ as our model. Let us find Him in the leaders that we will choose. Let us open our minds and hearts to the Holy Spirit, who will point us in the right direction so we can make the best decision.

Let us put Jesus Christ at the center of the election process.

As St. Paul would have asked of us—we appeal to you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Holy Spirit, to join us by praying to God for our country.
