Atty. Pilar Nenuca Almira, High School 1970 and BSC 1974 graduate of St. Paul Manila, has been appointed President and CEO of the Makati Medical Center, as announced by Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman of the MMC Board:
er of Cardinal Santos Medical Center, President of Cardinal Medical Charities Foundation, Inc., and President and Chief Executive Officer of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She had also been Chief Operating Officer of the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Senior Vice President for Business Development, Marketing and Sales Effectiveness of St. Peter Life Plan Incorporated, and Hospital Director of Manila Doctors Hospital.
Pilar’s achievements come as no surprise as she had been an outstanding student of St. Paul College of Manila, where she received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Management (Cum Laude) in 1974 and was College Student Council President. She received a Master’s in Business Administration from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1978, completed her law studies in the University of the Philippines, and passed the Bar Exams in 1984, and having chosen her career path, received her Master’s in Health Services Administration from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2004.
In addition to these many accomplishments, she is also a very spiritual person, a poet, a singer, and a book writer. She regularly conducts street interviews of ordinary people living extraordinary lives and shares these on facebook, which her many friends and readers find as sources of inspiration.
An extremely loyal alumna, she is one of the benefactors of the Senior High School HOPE Ablaze Program, a trustee of the St. Paul Manila Alumni Foundation, Inc., and Chair of the Paulinian First Fund of the SPMAFI.
