Cuteness overload alert!
Who would not go soft when they see adorable fur babies, with fluffy tails or astonishing catwalks (literally)?
The third day of the University Week started off with the barks of these little furballs. Together with their “Su-fur parents,” they flashed their eye-catching capes and colorful costumes as they strutted around the campus in cute get-ups. They competed in the annual Pet Parade with this year's theme of “Wonder Pets” on January 23, 2020 at the SPU Manila quadrangle.
During the activity, which was organized by the Paulinian Environmental Society (PES), many owners of cats and dogs with different breeds joined the fun pet parade and competed on the runway.
With the heroic theme of Wonder Pets, some of the cats and dogs were dressed as iconic superheroes, such as a persian cat named Yoda in his bold but adorable Batman outfit, a chihuahua named Queenie, as a glamorous Superwoman, and a charming pomeranian Hunter, with his courageous Captain America vest.
The Pet Parade ended with the awarding of selected pets for their efforts. A dog trio named Jasmine, Prince, and Gora with their flashing green capes won the Early Pets Award, while the celebrity school puppy, Mara, with her pink gown, won Congeniality Award.
The persian cat Yoda snatched the Scene Stealer Award; the chihuahua Queenie being the center of attention won the Crowd Favorite; the shih tzu, Molly won Best Groomed Pet; while Maxine, the pomeranian puppy, bagged the Best Dressed Pet award for her blazing red vest.
