SPU Manila holds Fire Safety Awareness Seminar with BFP

ST. PAUL UNIVERSITY MANILA - SPU Manila held a Fire Safety Seminar on Monday, October 23, at the School Quadrangle, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection - Intramuros, the SPUM Disaster Team Management, and the Readiness Efforts for Disaster Management (REDM).
The program started with an opening prayer led by Mr. Joseph Ogalesco, followed by the welcome remarks given by Ms. Elvie Manalasan. The speakers, SFO2 Mard Rasonable, and FO1 Erikson Lanuza, talked about fire safety practices, different kinds of fire extinguishers and their uses and proper use.
After the discussion, a demonstration on how to operate a fire extinguisher was conducted, where student leaders, employees, and staff were able to apply what they have learned from the seminar, with the guidance of SFO4 Armando Baldillo, FO3 Rovan Loberiano, and FO3 Ronaldo Marcelino.
As a token of appreciation, Sr. Maria Evangeline Anastacio, SPC, University President, gave a certificate of appreciation to the Bureau of Fire Protection-Intramuros for the time and effort they gave for this event.
To remember this insightful activity, a photo opportunity was conducted after the closing prayer to give thanks to the Lord for the success of the event.
