TEACHERS’ READINESS IN ONLINE DISTANCE LEARNING MODALITY AT PATEROS TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGE (PTC): BASIS FOR A LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FRAMEWORK

Abstract

This study utilized the descriptive design of research with the use of adapted questionnaire as the principal instruments for gathering data. In this study, the descriptive design was used to give details about the development of online distance learning modality. The convenience sampling method was used in this investigation. Only a few faculty members from Pateros Technological College in Metro Manila took part in the study. The data was analyzed using the Frequency, Percentage, and Weighted Mean functions. The majority of respondents are between the ages of 31 and 40, When it comes to teaching tactics, all age groups are extremely ready for online distance learning when grouped by age. The respondents under the age of 60 years old and older have the highest mean of all age categories, at 3.80. Instructor I-VI respondents had the highest mean of 4.00, which may also be translated as extremely ready. Furthermore, regardless of how many years of teaching experience they have all respondents in the category “years in teaching “are” extremely ready. • Finally, respondents who have not attended any seminars or trainings have the lowest mean of the group, 3.20, which is interpreted as "ready" only, whereas those who have attended 1-5, 6-10, are "very ready".
